About Us
Jan Marie Doughty CPA

I'm a Florida Born US Certified Public Accountant available to handle the nuances of taxation and business issues which face many non resident property and business owners. I am married to a UK citizen and lived in the UK for fourteen years. I have professional experience with both UK and US businesses particularly in international taxation.
In the UK, I had the pleasure of working for Richard Branson's lottery bid and developing business and financial plans for Virgin start up companies. In the US, I have worked with a multi-family development company handling the financials for several partnerships and associated management companies. I also have merger and acquisition experience with a large waste management company. I began my career working with an Orlando based CPA firm handling taxation, audit, write-up work and business valuation and plans. I grew up in Florida and consequently have local knowledge and networking in central Florida.

Trevor Doughty

I'm the friendly 'English' voice most likely to answer your calls to the office. I was born, and lived most of my life in Chichester, until recently when upon retirement from British Airways as a 747 Captain, we moved to Cocoa Beach. I've been flying for 30 years mostly between the UK and USA and met Jan Marie in Florida. If you look closely at runway 35L/17R at Orlando International Airport, you can see Jan Marie's nail marks as I dragged her to the UK to live.
She has grown to love the UK as much as I have come to enjoy Florida. After flying retirement, I was able to fulfil an ambition to sail across the Atlantic; three weeks during November 2003 following the old sailing ship trade routes to the Caribbean. Salt seems to be in my blood having qualified as a Naval Architect and worked for Lloyds Register of Shipping before training with British Airways to 'driving' aeroplanes. I look forward to speaking with you.
EducationMBA - Masters of Business Administration, Surrey University, UK 1994

Many visits to Florida, other parts of the USA and the world; even 6 days in Calcutta was an interesting eye opener.
